Pink Fresh's Painted Peony Mix Stamp Set from The Ink Pad is exactly the breath of spring we need on a cold, grey, January day!
I stamped the entire Painted Peony panel twice, on watercolor paper, in VersaMark ink, using Wow Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. I used my Big Box of Karin Brushmarkers to watercolor the largest flower cluster, by scribbling a bit of each color I wanted to use onto a plastic palette, then picking up the color with a waterbrush. I trimmed the second embossed panel down to a 5" square and then washed over it using the same method, with the palest shade of blue in the set. I stamped the sentiment, "Small Things Have Great Power" in VersaMark and embossed with Broken China Distress Embossing Glaze. A strip of torn and matted graph paper plus a couple of bright pink mats finish off my 6x6 card design.
This idea would work perfectly with any flower stamps you love... and luckily there are lots of great singles and sets at The Ink Pad!
is definitely looking
forward to Spring!
